I live in Montreal, in a post-industrial neighborhood where there used to be lots of factories. I am wondering, when is it safe to consume foraged plants, and why? Thank you

Hi Anton,
Thanks for your question, sorry for the delay, we are working out some bugs in this new system.
Personally i follow the scientific research and it shows that plants will accumulate toxins in their leafs and not in their fruits, so fruiting plants are safest and all green leafy vegetables are to be avoided until a soil test proves that the soils are not contaminated with Heavy metals and Hydrocarbons.
here is the recent research i have found on this https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC6957986/
Don't hesitate to let us know if you have any other questions.
Cheers
