Social Media Associate

    P3 Permaculture is looking to hire a part-time social media associate (15$/h) with strong knowledge and understanding of the digital media landscape, including various social media platforms. We are currently redesigning our website, and will soon launch a new social media strategy. The company is looking for the right person to implement and keep track of this new social media strategy. We are looking for someone with strong critical thinking skills, flexibility, drive, and open mindedness in order to integrate into our vibrant and passionate team who are very excited to share this launch.                               Roles & Responsibilities

                               

                              Help publish media content & posts that fit into P3’s marketing strategy and that best aid in the marketing and overall aims of P3 Permaculture; namely - increasing followers and engagement, as well as enrolment of P3 Permaculture services and products

                              Create media content based on the information and resources provided by our Video Content Creator and our Course Coordinator. *Note: you will be expected to take existing resources and rough draft content to create blog articles, newsletters and social media posts, with the appropriate images and hashtags. You are not expected to create content on your own but rather polish and finalize the content assigned per post 

                              Website and social media optimization and keyword analysis; tagging and adding descriptions to posted videos and images

                               

                              Qualifications & Skills

                               

                              Individuals applying for this position should have a degree and/or related experience in Social Media, Marketing, Business, Advertising or Communications in combination with a general understanding of permaculture principles, social enterprise & youth markets.

                              Experience: 

                              • Editing and circulating newsletters or similar publications  

                              • Use of websites/social media and networking sites/e-bulletins/online videos/films to generate interest and publicity 

                              • Working as a media/press office 

                              Knowledge and Skills:

                              • General understanding of online media, TV, and press

                              • General understanding of permaculture principles and its applications   

                              • Basic knowledge of SEO, hashtags,  etc. 

                              • Effective teamwork : takes initiative while maintaining communication and collaboration with other members of the team.
