We believe that permaculture education should be accessible to all. This is why we started the work-trade program. Becoming one of our work-traders allows students to exchange a certain number of hours of work for up to 50% of their tuition costs. To apply, please send us a resume and a cover letter. Due to the high number of applications we receive, only complete ones will be considered. Your cover letter should:
Specify which work trade position(s) you are most interested in.
Highlight your goals, the skills you wish to share with the team, and what you hope to accomplish through participation in the program.
Note that work-trade applications are considered once the minimum number of students needed to run a course has been reached.

Finds interesting places to post our media content and stories
Develops interviews and editorial opportunities for P3 (video and written)
Facilitate various events such as: tabling, talks, workshops, etc.
Keeps the press kit up to date with new communication strategies
Reports to the WT Team Leader
Translates P3 documents/communications from English to French and/or Spanish
Proof-reads French and/or Spanish existing P3 documents/communications
Works closely with the WT writer and PR to translate new communication initiaves

Grant Writer and Fundraiser
Finds opportunities for grants and partnerships
Writes proposal documents for P3
bonus pay of 10% of grants received
This worktrade can compensate 100% of a Course
Event Coordinator assistant
Assisting with planning and execution promotional events
assisting with development of promotions materials and activity brainstorming tie-ins, display, community partners;
gathering items for event;
assisting with set up, take down, and cleaning, etc.

Throughout the year we accept applications through university programs for internship with P3. The following are the positions we aim to fill. If you are a university student, please contact us for more details. We sometime accept internship proposals from applicants who are not students, depending on your goals and skill set. Participants ware compensated through school credits or an honorarium compensation.
The Teacher's Assistant Internship is designed for those who aspire to become permaculture teachers. The assistant is on-site with the P3 team during certificates, courses and/or other hands-on intensives.
Manages class scheduling
Assists teacher with the curriculum, scheduling, class projects and site visits
Coordinates guest speakers
Organizes classroom setup and project materials
Coordinates class project with teacher
Assists with student administration (payments, documentations and inquiries)
Permaculture Design Certificate
Strong facilitation skills
Basic understanding group dynamic management
Aptitudes in non-violent communication and conflict resolution
